Friday the 13th!

Friday the 13th comes a few times a year generally, and we always get calls asking if we're running specials... the truth is that we don't plan for days like that, so our artists book appointments as they normally would. We aren't against Friday the 13th tattoos by any means, we just aren't in a position where we would ask our artists not to book appointments and to run a special instead. It's unfair to them and the clients who have waited for the appointments.

With that, we hope you find someone who can help out!

Tomorrows the day to get out and vote!

If you're registered to vote, it's encouraged that you use your right at least once every four years more than it's pushed any other time. This years election has caused a lot of tension, but regardless there will still be a winner. We won't be posting our political views (they are all different, but we still get along) and we ask that no one imposes their view here either. What's important and using your voice in the manner you choose, regardless of what others tell you. Do your research, make your choices, and hope for the best. We're all in this together!

Richmond Tattoo & Arts Festival

Jesse Smith stopped by the studio today and dropped off fliers for the Richmond Tattoo & Arts Festival which will be September 30 - October 2 this year. Carl Fuchs and Chris Garcia will be on the list of artists attending, and if you're in the area you should check it out!

Red Five/FTW Cycles/Blakhart Guitars/Honda

Last weekend we participated in an event put on at Pungo Sports Bar by FTW Cycles.

The event featured one of the only female eat coast stunt riders, Christina Billings, and she was awesome!

Another event is being planned, and hopefully it pans out because this was really cool to see and more people should experience it!

Here's the flier:

And one of our new friends from our booth neighbors at Pit Bull Awareness Coalition!

It was hot, but it was fun!

Studio Update, brought to you by Alley Bangarang:

Last night we had a first here at Red 5... actually it was just a first...

Before closing, I had to (for the first time ever in 10 years of working in this industry) ask some clients if they lost their fishing lure... Yes, that's right... Someone left a fishing lure in our lobby by the bathroom door.
SO... If any of our awesome clients lost their lucky lure, let me know!

SPEAKING OF LUCK!

I want to say that I'm really proud to work with the crew we have here at Red 5. Our current staff is full of talent, and lacks the drama. Fun times, and great tattoos. So thanks Carl, Chris, Brett, Lorin, Matt, Stoll, Jason, and Martin. We're lucky to have such a great team here at Red 5, and will be sad to see Lorin leave for Germany!
